Sep 18, 2012 at 7:19 PM

Hello,

I am Yu Li.

I want to view PDF on Metro Style App without launching PDF reader as another application. Is there any suggestions or sample source code for that.

Please reply to me.

I think PDF rendering is fairly complicated and I am not aware of any free components. Maybe Foxit or some other vendors have a component you could use with Windows 8...

Hello xyzzer,

Foxit is great. It works properly for Metro Style App in windows 8. They also supply demo(sample code).

But they only give 30days trial version only. I have to find out is there any other vendors or not (free full version).

If not, I have to buy Foxit.

Thanks a lot.

Hello Bibo,

I found one new vendor that is "Rasterizing WinRT". But it haven't released yet. The side told that it will be released soon. Check the following link.[http://blog.tallcomponents.com/2012/04/rasterizing-winrt.html#comment-form]

Hello Yu Li,

thanks for answer, I found this too. But I think when they release it that it wouldn´t be for free :(

I used this library to generate pdf from image in Winrt Apps:

http://www.siberix.com/

it includes a view too, but there is a licence..
